I draw and paint and write in Devon where I live with my wife, children, dog and cats. I'm thrilled to be doing what I love in such a beautiful part of the world.
I draw from my imagination and life producing artwork digitally and traditionally.
Carel Weight, Lucien Freud, David Hockney, Richard Eurich, Pierre Bonnard and Paul Cezanne are some of the artists whose work I enjoy looking at.
Illustrators I greatly admire include John Burningham, Richard Scarry, Jozef Wilkon, Fritz Wegner, Edward Ardizzone, E.H. Shepard and Quentin Blake.
If I was asked to give one piece of advice to aspiring illustrators, it would be to draw, draw and draw some more then read, read and read some more.
I have been fortunate to work with some highly skilled commissioners, art directors, editors and designers who have put their faith in me and my work. Here is a good place to thank them. They know who they are.
